No Rainy SEASON at CASology

CASology is back (and so am I from a great vacay) with a new cue card this week!

The old saying goes, "April showers bring May flowers." So I thought we could use a little sunshine for the rainy season :) This is a true CAS card with a little sparkle.

This Tim Holtz stencil was the perfect backdrop for the Essentials by Ellen stamp set. Some ink blending and Diamond Stickles and viola!

As usual, the DT has some great inspiration for you this week! And we have the fabulous Donna Mikasa as guest designer and a wonderful sponsor, Uniko Studios. Swing by and say hi.

Love is a STRONG Emotion

CASology is back with a new cue card for the week and it's a powerful word: STRONG.
I went with something soft and sweet and strong...Love :)

This super cute little elephant digi stamp from our really wonderful sponsor, Kitty Bee Designs, was the perfect image to make into a pair of images. I used Photoshop Elements to duplicate "her", then

removed the flower from her temple to make a "him". Next I duplicated the flower to make the trio of flowers growing between them. I even used copies of the curves of their ears to make the stems for the flowers :) The sentiment is a clear stamp from the Simon Says Stamp "Hello Friend" set.

I used a combo of Copic grays C9, C5, C3, and C1 for the elephants. I even found the right gray cardstock to use as a base!

Time to make some power moves over to the DT blogs to see their creations this week! And say hi to our guest designer and sponsor.

The ICING on the...

We're back with another CASology cue card for the week!

I wanted to go for the look of a cookie that was covered in royal icing. Those yummy, puffy cookies which are always so beautifully decorated are totally addictive :)

For my card, I die cut a butterfly from fun foam and 2 layers of cardstock and glued them together only along the body of the butterfly. I used Liquid Pearls in Diamond, Daffodil, and Royal Blue to "frost" my butterfly and give it some shine. I snuck a few foam adhesive dots behind the wings for some dimension. Easy peasy and I think I pulled off the cookie look.

There are some delicious looking cards from the DT and guest designer, so be sure to say hi!
